James Klatsky has been been practicing law since 1985, and has been in his own practice since 2007, operating a full-service practice in state and federal court litigation, corporate and real estate law, trials and appeals, family law and a wide variety of other areas that draw on his diverse and wide-ranging experience. Before 2007 Mr. Klatsky was a partner of Weinstock Joseph Klatsky & Schwartz LLP, where he was the partner in change of law firm administration, and of Paykin Mahon Rooney & Krieg LLP. Mr. Klatsky remains of counsel to Paykin Krieg & Adams LLP, a new firm founded in 2007.
Mr. Klatsky attended both college and law school at Columbia University. He is admitted in all state and federal courts in New York, as well as the United States Supreme Court and the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit in Philadelphia.
Mr. Klatsky has extensive experience in representing organizations and institutions in the Jewish community, especially those associated with the Satmar Hasidim. Mr. Klatsky has been counsel in many major cases affecting the Jewish community and in numerous landmark cases affecting the role of Jewish law in the secular courts.
Mr. Klatsky has also represented clients of all backgrounds in an immense variety of matters, including civil fraud litigation, international law, real estate litigation, debtor-creditor, fraudulent conveyance, , civil rights, employment law and family law. Mr. Klatsky also has extensive experience in corporate and real estate law, including the sale, purchase and leasing of real estate, mortgage, loan and financing transactions, formation and structuring of businesses and secured transactions. Mr. Klatsky has full-service experience in both litigation and commercial law, and is able to handle all aspects of legal matters without the need for separate attorneys for litigation arising from business and real estate transactions.
